Standard stance

It is most basic stance among stances. Right foot maintains about 45 degrees and put 70%~80% of one’s weight on right leg and keep right leg and right shoulder on one axle, and waist shall not be bent.

Open stance

Open stance is the stance for one’s end of foot to direct towards board. Put about 60%~70% of weight on right leg and keep right leg and right shoulder on one axle and keep waist not to be bent.

Cross stance

It is the stance for outside of one’s foot directs towards the board. This stance is to put weight on outer side of one’s foot,
and put foot about 90% of one’s weight on right leg and left should goes back side completely. Especially, this stance tends to bend one’s waist therefore keep in mind not to bend one’s waist.


GRIP

Two grip

Two grip using only the thumb and forefinger to grip said. The important thing this time wrapped around the thumb and index finger as the barrel is the grip might help. Because using only the thumb and index finger grip the dart does not shake down the left corner, is to note.

Three finger grip

Newly gripping person usually use this grip. This is the grip using thumb, first finger and middle finger. Grip barrel with thumb and first finger like wrapping and pay attention not to be too close between first finger and middle finger.

Pencil grip

It is named as pencil grip because this grip is just like gripping pencil or pen. This grip is using thumb, first finger and women take usually this grip. In order to grip more stable the middle thumb comes toward further front direction than gripping pen because middle finger supports front part of barrel.

Four grip

This is the grip using remaining all fingers except little finger. This is the most stable grip than other grips. First finger wraps barrel and middle finger positions on front part of barrel and third finger supports bottom of front part of barrel.

Standard grip

Put center of barrel on first finger and put thumb lightly on it and this is most formal and basic grip.


THROWING

Aiming

This is the stance prior to throwing dart.
Aiming is a process to aim and confirm the point to throw by oneself. Maintain right arm in 90 degrees, left hand grips remaining dart and maintain center of weight on one’s own upper part of abdomen naturally in order for center of weight not to go backside.

Take Back

This is a stance to draw dart backward after aiming
through it backwards as it is maintaining right arm in 90 degrees. Eye sight must be directed at target point during taking back. Eye sight must be directed at target point during taking back.

Follow Throw

This is next motion after take back.
Throw dart when your hand is located most top position during throw motion. The motion of take back and throw must not be stopped but it is important for it to be a continuing motion.

Follow Throw

This is last motion of drawing.
It is the stance stretching your arm towards the board after throwing dart. It is important for you to maintain your arm in 90 degrees not going up or down. The line between thumb and first finger of your hand shall be on target line directing target point.


MANNER

Please keep basic etiquettes in mind during dart game!

*You are recommended to be neatly dressed when you take part in the game.
*You should be courteous to score keeper.
*Do not leave your seat during gaming without other player’s consent.
*Dart must be thrown towards 1 dart board one by one.
*You must not direct dart point towards other than dart board.
*You must not throw your dart towards other than dart board.
*When you hand over the dart you must hand of the dart with the dart point part in your hand.
*When other player is throwing dart, you should not be within the sight of other player by moving here and there.
*When you pull out the dart from dartboard, pull it out turning it slowly.
*Stand with forward direction of your hand throwing dart and the leg of same side.
*Cheering words such as “Nice”, “Good”, etc may reduce concentration of a player therefore you should cheer the player only after completely finishing 3 throws.
